On Sunday, April 22nd was the Flying Pirate Half Marathon, also known as the Floating Pirate due to the rain conditions that the runners had to endure. 61 boot campers participated in this half-marathon and for several it was their first half marathon. Most boot campers cut their race times by 10 minutes or more despite the storm conditions.

Not only did we have awesome boot campers participating and volunteering in the day’s events we also had some special cheerers that came out in the pouring rain to cheer on their fellow boot Campers. Thank you to everyone that took part in this amazing weekend. What a great way to show team spirit and boot camper pride! 15. 23. 14. 9. 20.
